Information stored by Yatoon Booking
Depending on configuration, Yatoon plugins may store appointment/order-related information in your WordPress database, including:
- Customer name, email, and phone number.
- Appointment service, staff, date, and time.
- Booking notes and custom form field answers.
- Cancellation, reschedule, reminder, review, waitlist, package, coupon, or gift card records.
The site owner controls this data inside their WordPress installation.
Email and SMS
If enabled, Yatoon may send appointment/order confirmations, reminders, review requests, cancellation notices, reschedule notices, or test messages. These messages may contain appointment and customer information.
Third-party integrations
Yatoon Pro can integrate with third-party services depending on settings:
- Square for booking and availability workflows.
- Vagaro for booking and availability workflows.
- Stripe for deposits or payment-related workflows.
- Twilio for SMS messages.
- Google Calendar for calendar sync.
- Freemius for optional licensing, account, upgrade, and software update services.
Site owner responsibilities
If you operate a website using Yatoon, you are responsible for telling customers what information you collect, getting required consent, handling customer privacy requests, securing your WordPress site, keeping backups, and following applicable privacy and consumer protection rules.
Data retention
Yatoon stores booking data until the site owner deletes it, changes settings, or removes records from WordPress. Some third-party services may keep their own records according to their policies.
Security
Yatoon uses WordPress APIs where practical and includes permission checks, nonces, and sanitization in booking and admin flows. No plugin can make a WordPress site fully secure by itself. Site owners should use secure hosting, HTTPS, strong passwords, backups, and updated plugins/themes.
